May Performances in Indiana and California

This May, Garrick Ohlsson appears in two distinct programs in the United States, one highlighting his collaborative work with orchestra and the other reflecting his deep and longstanding affinity for the solo piano music of Frédéric Chopin.

On May 10, Mr. Ohlsson performs Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic at Auer Performance Hall in Indiana. Led by conductor Andrew Constantine, the program also includes Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, bringing the orchestra’s season to a vibrant close.

Then on May 21, Ohlsson returns to the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara for a solo recital of works by Chopin. Presented as the final concert of the Community Arts Music Association of Santa Barbara’s (CAMA) 2024-25 Masterseries, the performance continues his long relationship with CAMA, which began in 1985 with another all-Chopin recital.
