Tour with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Garrick Ohlsson reunites with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Fabio Luisi for a tour to the East Coast this March, making stops in Boston and New York City. In 2020, Garrick joined the DSO for performances of Barber’s Piano Concerto, garnering rave reviews saying:

“Pianist Garrick Ohlsson delivered those jagged opening declamations with a massive sound that never felt banged. He summoned immense force and dazzling velocity whenever the concerto demanded it, but more introspective music was properly scaled.” (The Dallas Morning News)

These upcoming performances mark the Orchestra’s first appearance with Fabio Luisi on the East Coast. Mr. Ohlsson will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The DSO and Luisi will also perform What keeps me awake by DSO Composer-In-Residence Angélica Negrón and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.
