‘Emperor’ Concerto with Palm Beach Symphony

On December 1, Garrick Ohlsson joins Maestro Gerard Schwarz and the Palm Beach Symphony for a captivating performance of Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-Flat Major, Op. 73, the composer’s final piano concerto. Mr. Ohlsson has garnered great acclaim for his interpretation of this heroic work, with The New York Times proclaiming “The ‘Emperor’ Concerto could have been written for Mr. Ohlsson, so well does it suit his muscular technique and the sensitivity and restraint with which he deploys it.”

The program will also include two Palm Beach Symphony premieres: Sibelius’ Night Ride and Sunrise, Op. 55 and Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 78 “Organ Symphony”.
