Recitals in Germany and United Kingdom

This December, Garrick Ohlsson returns to Europe and the United Kingdom to perform four enthralling recitals featuring works by Brahms, Szymanowski, and Chopin. Mr. Ohlsson begins his tour in Germany at the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater on December 5, performing the program twice that day, first at 11.15 a.m. and then at 1.15 p.m. The final performance will take place in London’s Wigmore Hall on December 6 – this concert will be live-streamed via Wigmore Hall in HD. The video will be available on-demand for 90 days after the date of the broadcast. Watch live here.

Program description by Wigmore Hall: Having won his reputation with his triumph at the International Chopin Piano Competition in 1970, the American virtuoso with a famously vast repertoire offers pieces by Chopin (whose complete piano music he has recorded), Brahms (whose major works he has similarly set down on disc) and a large-scale work by the late-Romantic Polish composer, dating from 1917.
