Tanglewood 2020 Online Festival

Although we cannot gather in person this summer, Tanglewood Festival will be able to keep its spirit alive through the Tanglewood 2020 Online Festival, a series of digital offerings for all to enjoy. The festival will include both free-of-charge archival offerings as well as newly created content available for purchase. Video and audio streams begin on tanglewood.org July 1, with the ability to purchase starting on June 15.

Recitals from the World Stage, a Wednesday-evening series of video streams recorded at concert venues around the world and featuring artists who were to appear in Ozawa hall this summer, includes Garrick Ohlsson, the Boston Symphony Chamber Players, Danish String Quartet, Silkroad Ensemble, Lucas and Arthur Jussen, and Paul Lewis, as well as Brooklyn Rider.

Newly created content streaming on Saturday evenings includes Great Performances in Recital at Tanglewood, spotlighting some of the artists who were to appear in the Shed in 2020 and additional guests: Emanuel Ax, Joshua Bell and Jeremy Denk, Augustin Hadelich and Orion Weiss, Gil Shaham, Daniil Trifonov, Yo-Yo Ma, Conrad Tao, and Pinchas Zukerman and Amanda Forsyth.

Friday evenings will showcase the talented musicians of the Boston Symphony Orchestra with BSO Musicians in Recital.
